The Kijani Baby blog is a resource for parents who want the best for their baby, and will include lots of posts and information about health, natural pregnancy and baby care specific to Uganda, as well as letting you know about the latest and best local resources for naturally minded parents.

Kijani is a social enterprise based in Kampala that is introducing high quality, earth friendly, natural baby products to the local Ugandan market. Our signature products are our range of high quality washable nappies, all made locally by Ugandan mamas with high quality imported diaper fabrics.

If your image of washable nappies is plain, white fabric and bulky plastic pants, let us introduce you to the new world of adorable, comfortable, modern cloth nappies.

Our nappies are an all in two style diaper, which means the diaper has a waterproof cover with snap in absorbent soakers. When the soaker becomes wet or dirty, the soaker can be removed and another one snapped in. The cover can be used with 2 or 3 soakers before it also washed.

Kijani diapers are adjustable to fit most babies between 5 and 20kgs – that means the same diaper can be used for the entire time your baby is using nappies, and our diapers will for last for 2-3 years or more.

Kijani nappies are better for your baby, better for your budget, better for the earth, and they are adorable and stylish! This week, the blog will focus on the many benefits of using washable nappies on your little one.
